Occupational Therapist

About the role

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist (HP3) to join the Community Health & Therapy Services (CHATS) team at Mackay Base Hospital. This role offers the opportunity to provide meaningful care in a community health and rehabilitation setting, working with clients to support independence, recovery, and quality of life.

You’ll be joining a supportive and multidisciplinary team where no two days are the same. This contract is ideal for an experienced OT looking to enjoy the benefits of regional Queensland while continuing to develop their clinical expertise.

• Location: Mackay, QLD – regional coastal hub

• Contract: ASAP start – 30 November 2025

• Hours: Full-time, 76–80 hours per fortnight (Monday–Friday)

• Department: Community Health & Therapy Services (CHATS)

What you’ll bring

• Degree in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration

• Experience in community health and/or rehabilitation settings

• Strong clinical competencies across core OT practice areas

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

• Excellent communication and time management skills
